The Watch

LNT plan for The Watch involves several design and maintenance elements.  NOTHING WILL BE LEFT ON THE PLAYA!

Design Elements

• There will be no loose pieces
• No drilling or woodcutting will be necessary on the playa
• Surfaces will not be treated with finishing materials that crack & flake

Ongoing Maintenance

• The Watch and the vicinity around it will be cleaned of any MOOP on a daily basis
• The Watch will be checked daily for any damaged elements that could become MOOP

Teardown and Cleanup

• Before burning the piece, electronic & plastic elements will be removed
• After the burn, all remaining elements will be collected in contractor bags & 5 gallon buckets. Brass will be collected separately for recycling.
• After the burn, a magnetic rake will be used to pick up all metallic elements
• After the burn, the pyre and surrounding area will be gridded and de-MOOPed by the crew
